Why I Declined $2.5k of Gigs Last Weekend

“December is crazy busy, but that’s a good thing!!” - Musicians during the holidays

It can be tempting to take on every gig that comes our way, especially when the money is good. But sometimes, there are other things that are more important than gigs, like spending time with loved ones and celebrating special occasions. That's why I made the decision to decline $2.5k in gigs this past weekend to attend my partner's graduation.

Giving up gigs to prioritize family may not be a new concept, but what you don’t know, is I was able to manifest my best monthly income of the year AND prioritize family. All it takes is some consciousness and career management skills.

It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking that being "busy" is a good thing because it feels like success.. But the truth is, being "busy" doesn’t mean you are working towards your ideal career, it’s a huge drain on your creativity.

Ask yourself…

What family events did I miss in 2022 because I was too busy?

You might realize YOU NEED TO MANAGE YOUR CAREER BETTER.

I created Conscious Self-Management for Musicians so you can realize why you’re ‘busy’ and not SUCCESSFUL. This music career coaching program:

  1. Helps you become conscious of your musical purpose and priorities: Clarify who you are and what your purpose is so you can focus your energy.

  2. Helps you create a balanced schedule: One that allows for financial prosperity AND a personal life.

  3. Helps you say NO: Learn how to optimize your gigs based on health, artistic fulfillment, financial need, connection to purpose, and growing your network.

  4. Helps you delegate and outsource: Only focus on the things that only you can do.

  5. Helps you be successful on your terms: Design your career, so you know what success looks like both externally and internally.

It’s time to upgrade your career management and design skills for 2023.

MANIFEST THE CAREER YOU ACTUALLY WANT.
